Grill-Premiär!! (English below)

Grillpremiär i Wengen med medlemmar från skibum50plus. En uppsluppen stämning med många skratt, god öl och mat serverades under gårdagen på terrassen vid vårt chalet. Medlemmarna diskuterade glatt sina reflektioner över skidåkningen och många har avverkat besök i hela systemet, dvs Wengen, Grindelwald och Mürren.

Wengen ligger centralt till för besök i hela systemet och erbjuder på hemmaplan åkning i fantastiska backar där naturligtvis sträckningen för störtlopp samt slalom i berömda Lauberhornrennen är givna pister att åka. Några ur gänget besökte James Bond museet högst uppe på Schilthorn i Mürren, även känt som Pitz Gloria i Bond-filmen I hennes Majestäts hemliga tjänst. Därefter erbjuds den svarta pisten nr 10 för den som vill följa med i bonds skidspår i en svindlande pist med 72 graders lutning. Restaurangen på toppen är orginalbyggnaden från filmen med snurrande restaurang som var den första i sitt slag i världen då den byggdes. Byggnaden från filmen slutfördes dessutom av filmbolaget.

Ski Picnic med DHO Wengen

Under onsdagen genomförde skibum50plus gemensam picnic efter inbjudan av DHO, Wengen (Downhill Only) bildat 1925, arrangemanget delades även med British Ski Club.

En fantastisk dag i solen med medhavd macka och möjlighet att köpa öl. Intressant med tanke på de tider vi är i just nu, att se människor från olika länder umgås och skratta tillsammans. Det berikar envar och leder till att man bättre lär känna varandra över landsgränserna. Britterna representerar dessutom den nation som var först ut med att tillsammans med Schweizarna lägga grunden till vinterturism i alperna och är dessutom den nation som ligger bakom de första reglerna och skapandet av alpin skidåkning som sport, vid sidan av andra sporter de ligger bakom.

Grill Premiere in Wengen with members from skibum50plus. A hilarious atmosphere with lots of laughter, good beer and food was served yesterday on the terrace at our chalet. Wengen is centrally located for visits to the entire system and offers great skiing at home in fantastic hills where the course route for the downhill and slalom in the famous Lauberhornrennen is deserted pistes to ski. Some of the gang visited the James Bond Museum at the top of the Schilthorn in Mürren, also known as the Pitz Gloria in the Bond film In Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

During Wednesday  skibum50plus conducted communal  picnic after invitation by DHO, Wengen (Downhill Only) formed in 1925, the arrangement was also a joint event with the British Ski Club.
A great day in the sun with a packed sandwich and the opportunity to buy beer. Interestingly, given the times we are in right now, to see people from different countries together and laugh together. It enriches everyone and leads to better get to know each other across borders.
