Paket från Åre Skidfabrik

Åre skidfabrik! Kanske ett av de få företag med just en riktig fabrik i loggan. Fabriken byggd på passionen för bergen, hantverket och en inre passion för förbättring, ökad kontakt mellan skidåkare och snö, en resa som startade i ett garage i Östersund med utveckling av snowboards och utmynnat i en given plats i den alpina skidvärlden med det egna skidmärket Extrem. En handgjord skida i ett digitalt tidevarv.

Så händer det! Paketet vi sett fram emot så mycket dyker upp, nästan oväntat trots att vi visste att det var på väg. Ett sms att vi har ett paket på 1 kilo att hämta på den lokala bildelsaffären.

Vi åker dit i tron att det är ett paket med trycksaker vi väntar på. Vi frågar nyfiket om mannen bakom disken har något annat paket än det som är markerat som 1 kg. 1 kg!! Utbrister mannen och skrattar till. – Nej det här paketet är så stort att jag ger ut det via lastbryggan, det kommer från Åre! Glädjen blir total.

Nu ser vi fram emot att testa dessa skidor, Extrem Project 90 W som Malin kommer att köra på i vinter och Extrem Project 90 som jag själv kommer att åka på. Vi planerar att testa skidorna i Järvsöbacken innan vi reser ned till Jungfrau Regionen och Wengen, i Schweiz den 31 December.

A package delivered from Åre, Sweden

Åre ski factory! Perhaps one of the few companies with a real factory in their logo. The factory built on the passion for the mountains, the craft and an inner passion for improvement, increased contact between the skier and the snow, a journey that started in a garage in Östersund, Sweden with the development of snowboards and poured into a given place in the Alpine ski world with its own ski brand Extrem. Then it happens! The package we looked forward to was very almost unexpected even though we knew it was on its way. A sms saying that we have a 1 kilo package to pick up at the local car parts dealer.

We believe that it is a pack of printed items we were expecting. We asked curiously the man behind the desk if he had any other package than the one marked as 1 kg. 1 kg !! The man said with loud voice and a laugh. – No, this package is so big that I’ll give it out via the freight bridge, it’s from Åre! The joy then coming to us was total.

Now we look forward to testing these skis, Extrem Project 90 W, which Malin will ride on this winter and Extreme Project 90, which I will ski  on. We plan to test the skis at Destination Järvsö before we travel down to the Jungfrau Region and Wengen, in Switzerland on 31th of December.
